Guanqing Ou

Guanqing is a graduate student in the joint UCSF/UC-Berkeley program in bioengineering. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering in Needham, MA. Prior to joining the Weaver lab, she worked on developing microfabricated systems for cell biology and diagnostics. Since joining the Weaver lab in 2012, she has focused on developing and applying novel imaging platforms to study the effect of matrix properties on the nanoscale organization of proteins within focal adhesions. In addition, she is working on demonstrating the importance of cell and tissue context in modulating intracellular signaling pathways driving growth and survival.
